GORHAM - Leo F. Jacobs, 77 died May 27, 1990, at Russell Regional Hospital, Russell. He was born Oct. 20, 1912, at Gorham.
A graduate of Russell High School, Russell, and a lifetime resident of the Gorham community, he was a retired oil field employee and farmer. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 6240, the American Legion Post No. 99, and the Knights of Columbus No. 2794, all at Gorham, and the 94th Infantry Division.
On Aug. 23, 1940, he married Glenadine Benso at Gorham. She survives.
Other survivors include: two sons, Steven W., Gorham, and William L., Victoria; two daughters Margaret J. Denning, Hays, an Mary C. Sander, Gorham; four sisters, Mary Isaacson, Salina, an Blanche Herl, Georgina Jacobs and Florence Yost, all of Gorham; an 14 grandchildren.
Vigil service will be at 8 p.m. today at Cline-Pickens Funeral Home, Russell. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St Mary's Catholic Church, Gorham with Father Gregory Beyer presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. t 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
