F.J. Dentlinger, 17, Dies Tuesday At St. Anthony

Funeral Services Will Be Held Friday Morning at 9:30 at Halbur

Francis J. Dentlinger, 17 years old son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dentlinger residing 6 miles west and 3 miles south of Carroll, died at St. Anthony hospital yesterday afternoon at 4:45 o'clock, death being due to sarcoma. He had been at St. Anthony hospital since Sunday, although he had been ill for six weeks.

Funeral services will be held at St. Augustine church at Halbur Friday morning at 9 o'clock and burial will be made in the parish cemetery. The body was taken this afternoon from the Kircher-Dietrich funeral home to the residence.

Born at Halbur June 28, 1917, he has lived all his life at the home of his parents. He attended the parochial school at Halbur and was a member of St. Augustine church.

Surviving are his parents, five brothers and two sisters.

Funeral Services For F. Dentlinger Conducted Friday

Halbur (Special) -- Funeral services for Francis Dentlinger, who died Tuesday afternoon, were held yesterday morning in St. Augustine church with the Rev. Otto Dentlinger of Sac City, uncle of the deceased, officiating at requiem mass.

The following schoolmates acted as pallbearers: Harold Hausman, Art Petersohn, Art Leiting, Leonard Petersohn, Andrew Eischeid and Roman Potthoff.

Relatives from a distance attending the funeral were Sister M. Teresina of Pocahontas, Mrs. Theresa Dentlinger, Miss Tillie Dentlinger, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Dentlinger of Arcadia, Miss Mary Dentlinger of Sac City, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lutwize of Dedham, Mr. and Mrs. John Ocken of Maple River;

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Drees of Templeton, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Drees of Manning, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Drees of Lidderdale, Louis Drees of Carroll, Mrs. Henry Drees and Mrs. Evelyn Drees and John Drees of Roselle.
