Frank Dentlinger

HALBUR -- Final rites for Frank Dentlinger, 77, resident of the Halbur community for the past 48 years, were held at 9:30 am Thursday Sept. 28 at St. Augustine's church here.

Solemn requiem mass was offered by the Rev. L.J. Greteman, Halbur. The Rev. Leo Harpenau, Templeton, served as deacon; the Rev. Alfred Loeffelholz, Carroll, was the sub-deacon. Also in the sanctuary were the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Frank H. Greteman, Carroll, and the Rev. John McGuire, Jefferson. Mass servers were two grandsons, Lonnie Ferneding and Richard Dentlinger, assisted by two nephews, Steve Wittrock and Jim Rohe.

Pallbearers were six nephews: Lawrence and Al Dentlinger, Westside; Jerome Dentlinger, Halbur; James Dentlinger, Glidden; Cletus Ocken, Denison; and Laverne Lutwitze, Templeton. Interment was in St. Augustine's Cemetery.

A large number of relatives and friends attended the rites. Members of the Holy Name Society of the parish attended in a group. Out-of-town relatives attending were from Wall Lake, Denison, Arcadia, Carroll, Breda, Exira, Atlantic and Manning.
