Rosalia Werner, 89, of Lindsay, died Friday, Aug., 26, 2011 at the Mid-Nebraska Lutheran Home in Newman Grove.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Lindsay. Father Jim Kramper of Ewing and Deacon Louis Dohmen of Columbus will officiate with burial in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the church with a 7 p.m. rosary and will continue Wednesday from 9 a.m. to service time.

She was born July 26, 1922 to Joseph and Regina (Dusel) Dohmen at St. Bernard. She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church of Lindsay, the Ladies Guild, the Daughters of America and the Lindsay Ladies Improvement Club. She worked at Lindsay Holy Family School cafeteria for 25 years. She was also employed at Klub 81 in Humphrey for many years. Her hobbies were baking, playing cards embroidering and visiting friends and family. On April 29, 1941 she married Marion Werner at St. Bernard Catholic Church in St. Bernard. The couple lived in Genesco, IL and then moved to a farm north of Lindsay. In 1949 they moved into Lindsay. She was a resident of the Mid-Nebraska Lutheran Home in Newman Grove for the past nine years.

Survivors include daughters Bonnie and husband Larry Schumacher, Omaha, Marie (Aase) Borgmann and husband John, Norfolk, Judy and husband Larry Beckman, Lindsay, Joan and husband Ken Stone, Lindsay, Mariam and husband Dan Henggeler, Columbus, Janie and husband Paul Frauendorfer, Madison, Ann and husband Dean Preister, Humphrey; sons, Gene Werner and wife Sue, Lindsay, Ray Werner and wife Carla, Firth; brothers, Ferd Dohmen, Monroe, Vincent Dohmen, Madison, Evrin Dohmen, Humphrey; sisters Ann Chandler, Lindsay, Dolores Zach, Lincoln, Eliz Bender, Humphrey and Patty Brandl, Humphrey; Twenty six grandchildren, thirty two great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Marion in 1999, two infant sons and one brother, Michael Dohmen.

Newman Grove Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
