Terrence Joseph Illes, 60, of Orem, Utah died June 21st, 2010, from complications of lymphoma. Terry was born in Chicago and spent most of his childhood in Highland Park, Illinois. He received his doctoral degree in social psychology from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He practiced as a school psychologist in the Jordan School District. He was well known for his expertise working with children with learning and behavioral problems. Terry was a board member of CHADD-Children and Adults with Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder. He lectured nationally to help teachers and families understand the unique challenges of ADHD. He brought the same dedication, love, creativity, and humor to raising his family.
Terry is survived by his wife Louise, sons Trevor and Alex, daughter Lauren and Casper the cat; sisters Erica and Judy. Preceding Terry in death are his parents Imre and Renate, and brother James. Terry was the ultimate loyal Chicago Cubs fan, fantasy baseball manager, and he coached his children in little league baseball. His dream was to see the Cubs win a world series. Now that Terry's earthly game has ended, in the words of his favorite Cub, Ernie Banks, "Let's play two." The funeral will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints, 620 E. Heather Rd., Orem, Utah, at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 24th, 2010.
