Helen Adeeb, age 97, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2004. Born October 22, 1906, she was a native and lifelong resident of Jacksonville. She graduated from Duval High School. Helen was a homemaker and deeply involved in her church activities at the Old Holy Rosary Catholic Church and later at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She was an avid Florida Gator fan.
She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Horton, granddaughters Stephanie Thies and Deborah (Woody) Yelton, great-grandchildren Lauren Thies, Lucy and Sam Yelton, and several nieces and nephews. Her husband of 41 years, Phillip Adeeb, 2 sisters and 1 brother predeceased her. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 21 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home. Rosary to follow at 7 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 22 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Interment will be held at St. Mary's/Evergreen Cemetery, Gate 4. Flowers are gratefully accepted or contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
