In 1850, she was living in Madison, Columbia County, Pennsylvania, where she was enumerated in the federal census as "Ellen Kahler, 75, b. NJ" (Nelly is a nickname for Cornelia, but also for Ellen, Eleanor and Helen).
At the time of her death, she was living some 25 miles to the west, in what was then Washington Township, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania (present-day Gregg Township, Union County, Pennsylvania).
