Xavier Funke

NEW VIENNA, Iowa -- Xavier Funke, 84, of New Vienna, died at 3:40 pm Thursday at the Oak Crest Manor in Dyersville.

His wife, the former Cecilia Recker, died in November 1960.

Services will be at 10:30 am Saturday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, New Vienna, with burial in the church cemetery. Friends may call after 2 pm Friday at the Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where the wake service will be held at 8 pm.

Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Eleanora Scherbring of New Vienna.
