Born in Greenville, S.C., she graduated from Limestone College with a B.A. in Studio Art and attended graduate school at the University of South Carolina. She was a member of Overbrook Baptist Church.
Surviving are her parents, John and Betty Morgan Mickler of Greenville; a brother and sister-in-law, John Mickler, Jr. and Cindy Jensen-Mickler of Simpsonville; and nephews, Trey and Blake Mickler.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Greenville County Cancer Society , 113 Mills Avenue, Greenville, SC 29605.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 3, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park, with the Reverend Dale Sutton presiding.
