Maria Elisabeth (Wagner) Reinemann
Mrs. Elizabeth Reinemann, 87, a resident of the town of Centerville since 1856, was found dead in bed at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Christ Grupe, Sheboygan, at 8 o'clock this morning. Mrs. Reinemann, nee Elizabeth Wagner, was born March 24, 1849, at Rhine Preis, Germany the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Christ Wagner. She was one of six children. The family came to the United States when she was seven years old, settling in Centerville on a farm now operated by William Wagner, a nephew of the deceased, on Cleveland, Route 1.
She was married to Christ Reinemann on Jan. 24, 1876. They made their home on a farm now operated by a son, George. Eleven children were born to the union, four of whom died, one in infancy. Mr. Reinemann died Dec. 10, 1916. The surviving sons and daughters are John of Menominee, Mich., Mrs. Clara Sachse, Mrs. Christ Grupe, Edwin and Albert Reinemann of Sheboygan, and George and Otto of Cleveland. She is also survived by one brother, August Wagner of Menominee, Mich., 31 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Reinemann remained In good health up to the time of her death. She took great pride in her knitting and was an expert in needlecraft. She was a devout member ot the Lutheran church. Funeral arrangements will be announced in Friday's paper.
