Susanne Showers Flint, 61, of Luray, Virginia, formerly of Front Royal, died on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Page Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Panorama Memorial Gardens, Waterlick, VA, conducted by Sammy Campbell.
Ms. Flint was born February 13, 1950 in Virginia, daughter of the late George Washington Showers and Lelia Mae Shifflett Showers Clarke of Front Royal.
She worked for Jackson Furniture Company in Front Royal before her illness.
Surviving are her companion, Ottis Franklin Griffith of Luray; two daughters, Tiffany Gwinn and husband Anthony Gwinn of Front Royal, and Erika Weatherholt and husband Eugene Weatherholt of Winchester; two sisters, Pat Shipe and husband George, and Mary Lee Showers, both of Front Royal; two grandchildren, Eugene Weatherholt and Craig Weatherholt, both of Winchester; and one great-grandson, Dakota Wesley Weatherholt.
In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, George Leon Showers in 1993.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society , 2654 Valley Avenue, Suite B, Winchester, Virginia 22601.
