FAKNER, JOHN - Peacefully at Northumberland Hills Hospital on May 31st, with family by his side John Fakner in his 81styear. Beloved husband for 60 years to Mary Fakner (nee Gogesch). Loving father of Mary Jones (son-in-law Don), Kathy Matthews (son-in-law Gord) and Christine Fakner. Cherished grandfather of Kevin Jones (Lindsay Smith) and Steven Jones (Danielle). Dear son of the late Johan and Maria Fakner. John will be missed by his brother Stefan Fakner (Katharina) of Germany. Predeceased by his sister Maria Falk (the late Simon). Lovingly remembered by his nieces Rosina Falk, Christine Gogesch, Brigitte Thies, and nephews Martin Falk and Harold Fakner all of Germany. Friends are invited to call MacCoubrey Funeral Home, 30 King St. E., Cobourg on Friday, June 3rdfrom 2-4 pm. and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church on Saturday, June 4that 11 am.
