Solomon NEISWENDER b: 24 Oct 1816 in Schuylkill Co., PA and baptized Friedens "Pineswamp Church" the son of Peter NEISWENDER 9 Aug 1779 in Philadelphia-died after 1840. Solomon's mother was Hanna Repp. Solomon married Polly Imler in Wayne County, Ohio and migrated to Henry County, Illinois during 1850. His second marriage was to Elizabeth (Dersham) Raser on 5 March 1874. Elizabeth Dersham married as her first husband William Rasor on 29 December 1842. in Wayne County, Ohio. He was living on 4 April 1896 when his daughter Catharine Weimer died in Henry County, Illinois.

Obituary John NEISWENDER 1844-1911

"John NEISWENDER, a highly respected resident of this city for many years, passed away at his home on North Russell avenue, on Saturday, May 13, 1911, after a lingering illness.
The deceased was born in West Salem, Ohio, January 24, 1844, and was therefore aged 67 years, 4 months and 17 days when the final summons called him from the scenes of earth.
In the year 1850 he came with his parents, Solomon and Mary (IMLER) NEISWENDER, to Illinois. The party with which the parents came consisted of 43 persons, and included the NEISWENDER, BYERS, HINES, HARBAUGH, HENNEY and CLOUSE families. They came overland by team, fording the Illinois river at Peru. In Bureau county the party separated, part of them remaining there and the remainder coming to Henry county.
Of his father's family there are still living one brother, Abraham, of Jamestown, Kans., and two sisters, Mrs. Rebecca HANNA and Mrs. Eliza FONES, of this city.
In June, 1878, Mr. Neiswender was married to Mrs. Caroline KREPS FOIGHT, who survives him. There also remain to mourn his death four children. Mrs. Mary OLE, of Cornwall township; Frank, of Luverne, Minn.; and Bert and Fred, of this city. Two children preceded the father in death, Della, in infancy, and Elizabeth in 1899. There also survive three grandsons and one stepson, Sam FOIGHT, of Luverne, Minn.
Funeral services were held at the late home of the deceased in the Third ward at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon. Rev. W. R. Marshall officiating. Interment was in the old Geneseo cemetery." Newspaper May 19, 1911 Geneseo, Illinois
