World War II Medal of Honor recipient. Served as a Private, US Army, B Company, 100th Battalion, 34th Infantry Division at La Torreto, Italy. During an attack on June 2, 1944, his platoon became pinned down by enemy machinegun fire. He charged forward, killed three Germans and captured two in taking out the machinegun nest. Later in the day, he led another attack that took out another machinegun nest. Spotting a third machinegun emplacement, he led another charge and was killed. He and 21 other Asian American Veterans were recognized by President Clinton at a White House Ceremony on June 21, 2000.
