She was born February 24,1908 in Tuscarawas County, Ohio, the daughter of John and Louisa Kinney Mathias. She first married Charles Frey at Tuscarawas County, Ohio. He is deceased. Her second marriage was to Russell K. Lund in Galesburg in 1968. He preceded her in death January 16, 1998. She is survived by three sons, Kenneth Frey, Abingdon: Jerry Frey, Paris, Ohio, and Mark Mathias, Galesburg; two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Rosalou) Decker, Portage, Indiana and Mrs. Robert (Peggy) McComb, Gnadenhutten, Ohio.; eleven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Audrey Jayne Garbhardt, four grandchildren, one brother and one sister. She was a homemaker and had lived in Abingdon for the past 40 years. She formerly attended the First Assembly of God Church in Abingdon. She was a member of the Mothers of World War II. She had written many poems which were published in the Abingdon Argus newspaper. She also wrote songs. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel, Abingdon, with Eleanor Landon officiating. Burial was in the Abingdon Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Care Center of Abingdon.
