Rosary services for Michael Lehn were held Tuesday evening, Feb. 23, at 8 p.m. from the Anderson Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 24, from the St. Ann's church in Brandon. Father Austin J. Kinsella officiated. Pallbearers were John Ledermann, August Nootnael, Clarence Lehn, James Lehn, Ewald Lehn and Otto Lehn. Interment was made in the St. Ann's cemetery.
Michael Lehn was born at Brandon April 13, 1888, the son of August and Caroline Lehn. Mr. Lehn's entire life had been spent in the Brandon community where he had been very active in community affairs. On June 7, 1915, he was united in marriage to Bertha Pehan. To this union three sons were born, all of whom survive. The sons are: Leo Lehn of Wadena; Vernon Lehn, living at home; and Dennis Lehn, who is serving in the Air Force at Hunter Field, Savana, Ga. Mr. Lehn passed away at Our Lady of Mercy hospital in Alexandria early Saturday morning, Feb. 20, at the age of 65 years, ten months and seven days. He is survived by his wife, three sons, two granddaughters, Jeanette Lehn and Peggy Lehn, six brothers, Albert Lehn of Millerville; Carl Lehn of Millerville; August Lehn of Brandon; Joe Lehn of Salem, Ore.; Frank Lehn of Excelsior; Pete Lehn of Brandon and one sister (Lena) Mrs. Albin Mardalkee of Fergus Falls. He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
