Anna (Pischke) Wagner was born April 3, 1883, in Millerville township, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Pischke. She grew to young womanhood there and on Oct. 2, 1906, was married at St. Mary's church at Millerville, to Gabriel Wagner, moving to the groom's farm in Millerville township, where they have since resided, and where they have built up a beautiful home. To this union eight children were born, five daughters: Rose, Dora, Adelaide, Hilda and Clara and two sons, Roman and Adolph, also one son who died in infancy.
The funeral was from St. Ann's Catholic church at Brandon of which parish the Wagner family are members, Jan. 12, Rev. Fr. Rauch officiating. Cross bearers were Mrs. James Kelley and Peter Renkes. The Honorary pallbearers were Mesdames Math Stariha, Jacob Tamble, Casper Pehan, Nick Schwartz, Joe Lorsung and Ed Kelley. Active pallbearers were James Kelley, Casper Pehan, Nick Schwartz, Math Stariha, JohnSchwartz and Mike Kelley. Burial was made in the cemetery adjoining the church.
Mrs. Wagner leaves to mourn her untimely loss besides her husband and children, her nephew and niece, Joe Webskowski and (his sister) Mrs. Mary Webber of Chicago, to whom she was a mother, and shared her home after the death of their mother (Mrs. Wagner's sister, four brothers, Frank and Joe Pischke of Millerville, Paul of St. Cloud and Mike of Hope, New Mexico. Her father and mother, two sisters, and three brothers have preceded her in death.
Mrs. Wagner was a woman of a kind disposition, a fond wife, and a true and good mother, and will be sadly missed not only in her own home circle, but also by her host of friends.
