Funeral services for Carl Joerger, 56, former Pekin resident and World War I veteran, who died Wednesday evening at Hines Hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. (CDT) Saturday at the Abts Mortuary in Pekin. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
Mr. Joerger was born in Pekin on Jan. 29, 1892, a son of William and Katie Tammen Joerger.
Surviving are his mother and one brother, Clarence, both of Pekin.
He was employed as a cab driver in Springfield prior to his illness.
