Evelyn I. Lilienthal, 82, of Durant, passed away Friday, June 29, 1990, at her home in Durant.

Visitation will be 3:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, June 30, at Lacock Funeral Home in Durant. A memorial fund has been established in her memory.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 2, at Lacock Funeral Home in Durant. Burial will be in the Durant Cemetery, Durant, Iowa.

Evelyn Idella Hein was born August 16, 1907, in Cedar County, the daughter of Albert and Margaret (Schmidt) Hein. She received her education in the Cedar County schools. She married Raymond Martin Lilienthal on September 24, 1930, in Davenport. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Davenport, the Royal Neighbors of America Sunbury Chapter, and Polka Club of Eastern Iowa. She enjoyed needlework, baking and dancing.

Surviving are her husband, Raymond; two daughters, Marilyn (Dexter) DeWulf of Wilton and Patricia (William) Polzin of Loves Park, IL; one son, Keith (Margaret) Lilienthal of New Liberty; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Valeria Diedrich of Durant and Leora Meewes of Clarence.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
