THE PARIS NEWS, Fri., Aug. 29, 1986. '...of 520-6th NE, died Tue., Aug. 26. Services at 1 p.m. Sat., Aug. 30, at the Maxey Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Johnson. Born in Memphis, TX, a son of Merley Walters, Sr. and Elizabeth Young Walters, he was employed by Circle T Goods of Dallas and was a member of the St. Luke Baptist Church here. He was a 1971 graduate of Paris High School and the former owner of Walters Auto Repair in Paris. Surviving are a son, Merley Trey Walters III of Paris, his mother of Paris; 5 brothers, Jess Brawner, Gary Walters, and Kevin Walters, all of Dallas, Ronnie Walters and Rickey Walters, both of Paris; 3 sisters, Karen Brooks, Misty Walters and Bobbie Jean Lane, all of Paris; his grandparents, Lula Young and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Burton, all of Paris; 10 aunts and seven uncles.'
