Katharina Gerstl was born in 1899 in Valla, Moson, Hungary as the daughter of Emmerich Gerstl and Theresia Leurer of House 34.

The area where she was born became subject to Austria on August 28, 1921, and the village is now referred to as Wallern, Burgenland, Austria.

In 1921, Katharina Gerstl married Johann Schwarzbauer. Johann is the son of Ludwig Schwarzbauer and Rosa Unger of House 76.

----- Johann Schwarzbauer (b. 1892) married Katharina Gerstl in 1921. Johann and Katharina had two children, Franz and Agnes.

Christian Gerstl, son of Sebastian Gerstl, was born in 1751 and was married in 1775 to Anna Salzer. Christian was probably in this house since 1806. Here are the descendants of Christian Gerstl:

Christian Gerstl (b. 1751) married Anna Salzer in 1775. Two children are listed at House 34, Barbara and Lorenz Gerstl.

-- Barbara Gerstl (b. 1779) married Josef Mollner (of House 17) in 1798.
-- Lorenz Gerstl (b. 1788) married Maria Unger (widow) in 1806. Lorenz died in 1873. They had four children listed at House 34, 1) Katharina, 2) Barbara, 3) Maria and 4) Stefan Gerst.

1. Katharina Gerstl (b. 1810) married Josef Schwarzbauer in 1835. Josef was widowed when he married and lived at House 41.
2. Barbara Gerstl (b. 1812) married Jakob Koppi (of House 65) in 1841.
3. Maria Gerstl (b. 1815) married Stefan Deutsch (of House 11) - date is missing.
4. Stefan Gerstl) (b. 1821) married Eva Koppi (of House 65) in 1841. Stefan and Eva had two children, Theresia and Franc Gerstl.

-- Theresia Gerstl (b. 1847) married Josef Flacker (from Illmitz) in 1867.
-- Franz Gerstl (1848 - 1911) married Maria Schwarzbauer in 1873. Maria is the daughter of Josef Schwarzbauer of House 54. Franz Gerstl died in 1911.

Franz and Maria had five children, Barthol, Emmerich, Anna, Juliana and Josef Gertzel.

----- Barthold Gerstl (b. 1872) married Johanna Deutsch in 1904. Johanna is the daughter of Anton Deutsch of House 29.

----- Emmerich Gerstl (b. 1875) married Theresia Leurer in 1901. Theresia is the daughter of George Leurer of House 58. They had seven (7) children, 1) Katharina, 2) Stefan, 3) Heinrich, 4) Maria, 5) Emmerich, 6) Agnes and 7) Josef Gerstl.

1. Katharina Gerstl (b. 1899) married Johann Schwarzbauer in 1921. Johann is the son of Ludwig Schwarzbauer of House 76.

2. Stefan Gerstl (b. 1902) married Helene Denk in 1925. Helene is the daughter of Johann Denk of House 189. Stefan was a judge in 1869. After his wife, Helene died, Stefan married Maria Kroiße. Stefan Gerstl died in 1877, and his second wife Helene married Andreas Unger (from Tadten) in 1882.

3. Heinrich Gerstl (b. 1906) married Anna Leeb (from Tadten) in 1936.
4. Maria Gerstl (b. 1913) went to a monastery to became a nun.
5. Emmerich (b. 1914) married Theresia Deutsch (?) in 1935.
6. Agnes Gerstl (b. 1916) went to a monastery to became a nun.
7. Josef Gerstl (b. 1920) married Katharina Schneider in 1941. Katharina is the daughter of Peregrin Schneider of House 82.

----- Anna Gerstl (b. 1877) married Michael Schneider in 1901. Michael is the son of Stefan Schneider of House 75.

----- Juliana Gerstl (b. 1883) married Johann Griemann in 1904. Johann Griemann is the son of Georg Griemann of House 43.

----- Josef Gerstl (b. 1889) married widower Theresia Hauser in 1923 (Theresia's former husband was Johann Thuringer). From this marriage, Josef and Thererisa had two children, 1) Aloisia and 2) Maria.

Aloisia Gerstl (b. 1924) married in Switzerland in 1951.
Maria Gerstl (b. 1927) married Johann Mayerhofer in 1954.

Theresia (Hauser) Gerstl died in 1936 or 1937. Widowed, Josef Gerstl married Maria Streuer in 1937.
