Bob was born July 30, 1950, in Duluth, graduating from St. Michael's Grade School, Duluth East High School, and University of Minnesota Duluth. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1969-71.
Bob was owner/partner in Luminescent Inc., a data analytic services company.
He enjoyed many avid interests in nature and wilderness activities.
Bob is survived by his wife, Ruth; daughter Sara (Doug) Bowe of Orlando, Fla.; grandson Jackson Robert Bowe; parents Jim and Marie Makowski of Sun City, Ariz.; sisters Gail (John) Werner of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Bridget Makowski of Ormond Beach, Fla.; brothers Paul (Diane) of Duluth and Mark of Minneapolis; sister-in-law Janice (Jeff) Buhr; mother-in-law Inez Norwig; nieces Melanie, Rhonda, and Hannah; nephews Christopher, Andrew, and Troy; and many other beloved family and friends.
Bob will be greatly missed, always loved and remembered.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, in Park Hill Cemetery, 2500 Vermilion Road, Duluth.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Gunflint Trail Historical Society - Chik-Wauk Museum.
