The Mass of Christian burial, celebrating the life of Betty Rodenwald, age 95 of Albany, will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 16 at the Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Betty died Saturday at the St. Michael's Nursing Home in Sauk Centre. Friends may call from 4-8:00 PM Tuesday and again after 10:00 AM Wednesday at the Miller-Carlin Brenny Funeral Home in Albany. Parish prayers will be at 4:30 PM Tuesday followed by the St. Ann's Mission Group at 5:00 at the funeral home in Albany.

Betty was born October 19, 1915 in Melrose to Ben and Leana (Koch) Renneker. She married Elmer Rodenwald on November 25, 1937 in Melrose. The couple moved to a farm near Albany and they owned the West End Bar and Tavern in Albany. In the early 1960's, they moved to Richey, MT where they owned the Richey Bakery and Cafe. They moved to a farm near Holdingford in the 1970's. Betty worked in the Monoco Labs in St. Stephen and then she worked in the housekeeping department at St. John's University. She also cleaned the Seven Dolors parish house and church. Betty was a member of the Seven Dolors Catholic Church, Catholic Aid, the St. Ann's Mission Group and the Waite Park American Legion Auxiliary.

Betty is survived by her children, Marie (Norbert) Schleppenbach, Albany; Gerald (Carole) Rodenwald, Albany; David (Kristin) Rodenwald, Rochester; LeeAnn Renneker, Arvada, CO; her brother, Norbert (Adele) Renneker, Freeport; 19 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elmer in April of 1978, her sons, Dale Ralph Rodenwald and Ervin Rodenwald, her brothers and sisters, Mary Wiewel, Ben Renneker, John Renneker, Joe Renneker, Frances Stueve, Johanna Rodenwald, Agnes Neumann, and one great-great-granddaughter, Cadence Hope Feiler.
