Paul C. Rohloff, of Reese, died unexpectedly, Monday morning, April 25, 2005 at his residence. Age 89 years. He was born October 31, 1915 in Saginaw County, son of the late Fred and Sophie (Nurminger) Rohloff and was employed at the Dow Chemical Co. during WWII. On August 25, 1951, he married the former Dorothy Warsinski in Port Huron. She survives him.

He owned and operated Paul Rohloff Builders in Reese for many years retiring in 1977. In his younger years, Paul was active in Republican Politics, both on the local and state levels, and served the Village of Reese as a trustee on the village council and also by being a member of its Planning Commission. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Reese, and served the church in various offices including being a member of Board of Elders. His hobbies included gardening, traveling, riding his bike, and talking with his friends and neighbors.

Surviving besides his wife Dorothy, are his children and their spouses, Marsha and Gary Logan of Valparaiso, IN., Steven Rohloff of Reese, Ruth and Jim Conlon of Melbourne, FL., Luke Rohloff of Reese and his fiancée Angela Middlebrooks of Ft. Payne, AL., and James and Cynthia Rohloff of Reese, Five grandchildren, Joshua Logan and his wife Courtney of Virginia, MN., Marissa Moffitt and her husband Frank of Tempe, AZ., Angela Logan of Valparaiso, IN., Sarah Rohloff of Reese, Erin Conlon and Clarke Conlon, both of Melbourne, FL. and his two great grandchildren, Harrison and Carter Logan. Also surviving is his brother Ruben Rohloff of Frankenmuth, and his sister Esther Buetow of Kalamazoo.

In addition to his parents, Paul was predeceased by his infant daughter Gloria, his brothers Carl and Norman Rohloff and his sister, Marie Rohloff.

-SERVICES-
Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2005 from the Trinity Lutheran Church in Reese. Rev. Steven Siegel and Rev. Matthew Garred will both officiate with burial to follow in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Reese.

-VISITATION-
Mr. Rohloff's family will receive friends at the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 9940 Saginaw St. in Reese on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services.
