Helen Smith Wesley, 72, of the Auburn Hills Community, died January 5, 2005, at her residence.

She was born in Albemarle County, December 13, 1932, the daughter of the late William and Helen Sampson Smith. She was the loving wife of Warner Wesley III.

She received her early education in the Albemarle County School System and was a graduate of Virginia State University. She was a retired Caregiver; a lifelong member of Rose Hill Baptist Church; a member of the usher Board and Senior Choir. She was a very loving and caring person who loved conversing with family and friends and was always good on giving advice. Her special gift was caring for the elderly and children.

Her survivors include her husband of forty-four years, Warner Wesley III; two brothers, Bernard C. Smith and Thomas Wilson Smith of Charlottesville, VA.; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, January 11, 2005 at Rose Hill Baptist Church.

Interment followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, White Hall, VA.
