Elfie Anna Meyerpeter 89, of Jefferson City died Friday December 9, 2011 at Heisinger Bluffs. She was born November 29, 1922 in Henley, a daughter of William and Katherine (Schultz) Frank both deceased. She attended Spring Valley School. On November 24, 1942, Elfie was united in marriage at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Mary's Home to Bernard H. Meyerpeter, who preceded her in death on July 23, 1995.

Elfie worked for International Shoe Factory and was a nurse's aid at St Mary's Health Center for 19 years until her retirement in 1984. She was a member of St Peter's Catholic Church, where she had been active with the Ladies Sodality and St Rita quilting group, and was a member of the St Mary's Health Center Auxiliary. She did volunteer work at St Mary's and enjoyed quilting, and doing embroidery. Elfie was known as quite an excellent cook. Her children and grandchildren loved to eat her cooking especially her homemade pies.

She is survived by two children' Gary Meyerpeter and fiancee Jane Ragland of Columbia, Jana Chambers of Jefferson City, four grandchildren, Tracy Schad and husband Steve, Scott Meyerpeter and wife Katie, Jason Meyerpeter and fiancee Melissa McDonald, Matthew Meyerpeter and four great ggrandchildren, Skyler Schad, Delaney Schad, Pierce Meyerpaeter and Berkeley Meyerpeter. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Freda Lootens, Veronica Jenkins, Irene Sanning' and two brothers, August Frank, and Andrew Frank.

Friends will be received from 10;00 to 11;00 a.m. Friday December 16, 2011 at the Houser Millard Funeral Home where funeral services will follow at 11;00 a.m. with Fr. Basil Eruo officiating. Interment will folllow in Resurrection Cemetery.
