Irma Perez Alaniz was born on January 27, 1938 to Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Villarreal and adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Catarino and Maria Perez. She was raised in Corpus Christi and San Antonio, Texas. Irma graduated from Sidney Lanier High School in 1959. On June 7, 1959 she married her husband of 49 years, Pedro Flores Alaniz and raised three children: Pedro Martin, Cynthia Ann and David Perez Alaniz. For 22 years she worked and managed Blanche Moore Elementary Cafeteria and then in 1981 co-founded and was an officer of Titan Support Systems, Inc. Her innovative designs resulted in her traveling the world and the granting of a patent and numerous patents pending. Her products are now used on every continent of the globe by the best teams in the world. She will always be remembered as a loving and generous wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Flores Alaniz.

Survived by her sons, daughter and daughters-in-law: Pedro Martin (Cynthia Ann) Alaniz, Cynthia Ann Alaniz, and David Perez (Florencia) Alaniz; grandchildren: Angie Smith, Sarah Ann Hinojosa, David Anthony Alaniz, Nicolas Martin Alaniz, Melissa Marie Alaniz; greatgrandchildren: Raven, Corbin, and Serena Smith and Allie Hinojosa.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M., Monday, December 12, 2011 at Corpus Christi Funeral Home with a rosary to be held at 7:00 P.M., that same evening.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at St. Pius X Catholic Church.

Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Pedro M. Alaniz, David Alaniz, David Anthony Alaniz, Nicolas M. Alaniz, Jose L. Alaniz, Manuel Villarreal, Luis Daniel Alaniz and Olegario Jaramillo.
