Chico Enterprise Record, Chico, Monday, March 18, 1963: "Leopold Stampfli -- Funeral services will be conducted in the chapel of the Brusie Funeral Home at 11 a.m. tomorrow for Leopold Stampfli, who died at the Enloe Hospital early this morning.

"Mr. Stampfli was born in Crescent Mills on Nov. 15, 1887, and prior to his retirement in 1955 he was employed with the State Division of Highways as a blacksmith stationed in the Redding District. He commuted to his job.

"He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Evelyn Stampfli of Chico; the following children: Mrs. W. B. Williams of Sunland, Mrs. Leo Wurschmidt of Hampton, N.H. and L. T. of Santa Clara; 13 grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Charles Allen and Mrs. Lee Johnson both of Chico; Mrs. Mathilda Lewis of Crescent Mills and Joseph Stampfli and Mrs. Florence McCutcheon, both of Greenville and Otto Stampfli of San Francisco.

"Interment will take place in the Garden of Devotion at Glen Oaks Memorial Park."
