Source: The Morning Times, Sayre, PA dated 12-17-2011 in Guy Abell's weekly column.

1st husband of Beatrice was Thomas Till. Guy Abell states that Thomas served with the British Indian Army, and he went overseas, but never returned. The assumption is he died in India. Ruby was the product of this 1st marriage. Then Grandmother Beatrice married Kirk Beebe as her 2nd husband.

On 1920 & 1930 census, F. Ruby Till Gillette told the enumerator that her father was born in England.
