Lenore "Skipper" Kainz, age 77, of Ely died Saturday, November 14, 1999, in Ely-Bloomenson Community Hospital.

She was born December 6, 1921, in Stanley Wisconsin, to Otto and Alma (Johnson) Moen.

She was post mistress of Sawbill Landing for several years before moving to Ely in 1961.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo A. Kainz on March 1, 1989; and a sister, Vivian Lucille Moen.

She is survived by daughters Jerry Dean (Gerald) Thoren and Nancy (Larry) Karsten; a son, Leo Jr. (Peggy); grandsons Jeremy Todd Swanson and Arne Norman Swanson; four stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; sisters Idene (Donald) Krings and Ione (Norman) Kainz; a brother, Alfred (Annetta) Moen; and several nieces and nephews.
