OBITUARY Iron River Reporter Jan 14 1976 "Obituaries: Autio"
Mrs. Edith Autio, 68, Beechwood, passed away Sunday, January 11 at Wayne County General Hospital where she had been a patient for the past few days. She had been in failing health for the past six months.
Mrs. Autio was born June 26, 1907 in Crystal Falls, moving to the Iron River area with her parents as a child. She attended Bates and Stambaugh schools, graduating with the class of 1925. She was married to the late Wilbert Autio, who preceded her in death in 1962. Mrs. Autio attended NMU and graduated with the class of 1964. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Stambaugh. She was also preceded in death by a brother Walter Lund of Appleton in 1972.
Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Louis (Marie) Columbo, Chelsea, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Low, Las Vegas, and Mrs. Roy (Alice) Cameron, Dearborn Heights, Mich.; two brothers, Leonard Lund, Wisconsin, and Einer Lund, Iron River; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
It was requested that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Cancer Fund.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 15 from Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Daniel Kangas officiating.
Interment will be in the family plot in Rosehill Cemetery, Beechwood, with Fell Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Autio, 68, Beechwood, who passed away January 11, were at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 15 from Trinity Lutheran Church with the Rev. Daniel Kangas, pastor, officiating.
Mrs. Linda Fowler sang "Peace, Perfect Peace" and "For all the Saints From Who Labors Rest," accompanied by Mrs. Lloyd Symmonds, organist.
Pallbearers were Theodore Sukaniva, Michael VanWagner, Martin Autio, and Walter Salonen.
Interment was in the family plot in Rosehill Cemetery.
Fell Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
