Daniel Grace, the son of Michael Grace III and Sarah Eliza Schneider, married Rebecca E. Connor 28 Sept 1851 in Scott Co., Iowa. Their children: Elmer E., Sarah "Ellen", Daniel Webster, John M., Andrew Jackson, Stewart G., Margaret J. "Maggie", and Isaac Henry.

Daniel grew up in Scott Co., Iowa, near Dixon. After living for many years in that county, Daniel Grace moved to Crawford County, Iowa, where he purchased a farm and lived until 1890 when he moved to Pottawattamie County. He settled first in Knox Township, then took a home in Valley township, where he died 26 August 1903.
