PORT HURON -- Mrs. Dorothy Michel, 90, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 1993, in Marwood Manor after a brief illness. She was born Dec. 3, 1902, in Russia. She married David Runk in July 1921, in Billings, Mont. He died in December 1943. She married Cornelius Michel in July 1950 in Billings, Mont. He died in November 1967.
Mrs. Michel was a member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church.
She is survived by a son, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee (D'Ann) Runk, of Elk Rapids; three daughters, Mr. and Mrs. James (Dorothy) Hawkins of Detroit, Mr. and Mrs. Ed (Lillian) Werner of Port Huron and Delores Finn of Largo, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.
She is preceded in death by a son, Walter, in 1989; a granddaughter, Jacki Finn, in 1982; and a son-in-law, Ed Fin, in 1991.
Services are 11 a.m. Wednesday in Our Savior Lutheran Church. The Rev. Donald R. Doerzbacher of Our Savior Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Pallbearers are Kith Bricker, Ronald Raines, David and Michael Werner, Thomas Coleman, Dennis Hopkins, and Brian and Bruce Hawkins. Honorary pallbearers are Robert, Brian and David Runk.
