Elma E. Peltomaa
Elma E. Peltomaa, 83, of Mentor, died Wednesday at Lake County Memorial Hospital, Willoughby, after a short illness.
Born Oct. 31, 1897 in Finland, she was an eight-year Mentor resident. Prior to that she lived in Fairport Harbor. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Fairport Harbor.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. George (Clarion) Naftanail of Mentor and Mrs. John (Marion) Merz of Titusville, Fla.; two sons, Roy M. of W. Jefferson and Raymond E. of Mentor; one sister, Martha M. Waris of Lakewood; and 14 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John E., in 1977, and two sisters.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, 508 Eagle St., Fairport Harbor, with the Rev. Willard L. Kalk, pastor at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Fairport Harbor, officiating. Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Potti Funeral Home, 538 Fifth St., Fairport Harbor.
