Wm. B. Apel, Former Well Known Farmer, Stricken While Attending Christmas Program in Fredericksburg Church --- Burial Took Place Friday at Morrison.Wm. B. Apel, formerly well known farmer of the Stolpe and Morrison neighborhoods, died December 30, at the parsonage at Fredericksburg, aged 83 years, 11 months and 12 days. He was stricken with apoplexy while attending an X-mas program at the Fredericksburg Evangelical Church and perished a few days later. Funeral services were held last Friday, Rev. R. H. Kasmann conducted the services in St. Jacobi Church in Morrison. Burial under auspices of M. W. A. Lodge, took place in Good Hope Cemetery at Morrison. Deceased was born at Stolpe in 1856. In 1878 he married Miss Henrietta Bohl, who preceded him in death but two months ago.They made their home on a farm at Stolpe until 1900 when they moved to Morrison. To their union were born nine children, of whom 7 preceded the parents in death.He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Lena Frey of Morrison and Mrs. Clara Cramer, of Fredericksburg. He also leaves 10 grandchildren.
