Carmela Angelino, 61, a local area resident since 1974, died at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie on Tuesday, November 4, 2008.

She formerly resided in the Bronx and San Donato V.C., Italy.

In 2005, she retired as a cook for the Residence Inn in Fishkill, where she had worked for 18 years.

A member of St. Denis Church in Hopewell Junction, Carmela enjoyed gardening and sewing, and loved to cook and entertain.

Born in San Donato V.C., Italy on October 5, 1947, she was the daughter of Gerardo and Cesidia Cedrone.

On December 20, 1970, she married Loreto Angelino in Italy. Mr. Angelino survives at home.

Carmela is also survived by her daughter, Dina Lauria and her husband, Izzy of Poughquag; her son, Lorenzo Angelino and his fiance, Lisa Gangi of Stormville; her grandchildren, Isabella and Joseph Lauria of Poughquag; her mother, Cesidia Cedrone of San Donato V.C., Italy; her sisters and brothers, Donata Palmieri of Yonkers, Pompea Gentilucci of Rome, Italy, Lucio Cedrone of San Donato V.C., Italy, Fernando Cedrone of San Donato V.C., Italy, Annino Cedrone of Pennsylvania and Mario Cedrone of San Donato V.C., Italy.

She was predeceased by her father, Gerardo Cedrone, and her brother, Antonio Cedrone.

Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday at the McHoul Funeral Home Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction, followed by interment at St. Denis Cemetery.
