Anna Gertrud Wenstrup, nee Beissenkroll, was the daughter of Heinrich Beissenkroll and Maria Anna Uhling. She was born at Ahaus, Borken, North Rhine-Westphalen, Germany on 18 July 1850. Anna Gertrud Beissenkroll was baptized at Sankt Marien Katholische Kirche (Saint Mary Catholic Church) on 19 July 1850. Anna Gertrud's godparents were Gertrud Uhling and Ambrosius Beissenkroll. In 1871, Anna Gertrud Beissenkroll immigrated to Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio, USA. She became the housekeeper for her uncle,Reverend Gerhard Uhling, pastor of Saint Antonius Church, in Cincinnati. On 4 May 1871, Anna Gertrud Beissenkroll married Bernard Wenstrup at Saint Antonius Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. On 2 June 1888, she died at Covington, Kenton County, Kentucky, USA. The cause of death was septicemia (blood poisoning) as a result of childbirth. Anna Gertrud Wenstrup was laid to rest on 5 June 1888 at Mother of God Cemetery in Covington, Kentucky. She is buried in section 3, lot 270 with her husband Bernard Wenstrup and sister, Catherine Wenstrup, nee Beissenkroll.
