Leonard Buelow, 89, of Junction City, died on Friday, November 25, 2011, at his home.

Leonard was born on July 28, 1922, in Dancy, to August and Mathilda (Neumann) Buelow.

Leonard was married to Lorraine Wayerski on February 22, 1941. They later divorced.

In his earlier years, he worked on the family farm in the town of Eau Pleine and operated a tavern with his mother for many years.

More recently, Leonard operated a pulp and saw mill operation. He enjoyed trapping, fishing, hunting and was an avid New York Yankee fan.

Leonard is survived by his daughter, Carol (Leon) Pankratz of Spencer; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He is further survived by two sisters-in-law, Margaret Buelow of Wisconsin Rapids, and Connie Senek of New Holstein.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by five brothers, Arthur, Rheinhardt, Carl, Orville and Lester; and one sister, Irma Bulgrin.

Committal service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2011, at Buelow Cemetery in the town of Eau Pleine, Portage County.

Visitations will be from 9am Saturday, Dec. 3rd at the Martens/Rembs Funeral Home until time of committal services.
