Services for Mrs. Groeneweg to be Thursday Mrs Paul W. Groeneweg, 50, died at the Sacred Heart hospital in Le Mars on Monday Dec. 18.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Porter funeral home in Rock Valley. Rev. J. Van Sweden will officiate and burial will be in Valley View cemetery.
Mrs Johanna Eppinga Groeneweg was born at Perkins on Nov. 4, 1911. She grew to womanhood in this and the Inwood area.
On April 29, 1938 she was married to Paul W. Groeneweg. Mr and Mrs Groeneweg lived on a farm Northeast of Rock Valley most of their wedded life.
Johanna was a member of the Netherlands Reformed church of Rock Valley.
Survivors include the widower, Paul W. Groeneweg; the mother, Mrs. Jake Eppinga of Sioux Center; two brothers, Dick, and Ben Eppinga of Rock Valley; a sister, Mrs Tunis Van Middendorp of Rock Rapids, and a number of nephews and a nieces.
