The daughter of Ben and Theresa (Escher) Beumer of Rock Valley, Iowa. Rosa was one of ten children. Rosa attended St. Mary's parochial grade school until it closed and then attended the public school where she graduated as valedictorian of the class of 1911. She taught rural school in the area for 6 years. She married Victor H. Prunty of Andover, SD at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rock Valley, Iowa on November 20th, 1917. The couple had 7 children only one of whom is living at this writing.

Andover - Rose Prunty, 87 of Andover, died Wed, May 17 1989 at Mother Joseph Manor in Aberdeen. Services will be at 10:am Saturday at All Saints Catholic Church in Adover wiht the Rev. John Garvey officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
