Irma R. Kant died on August 30 at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. She was the daughter of John and Elsie Swickhamer. She attended elementary school in Shawnee and later graduated from Douglas High School. On Dec. 31, 1946, she married Merwin (Slick) Schlichting. They had two children, Craig and Randi. They later divorced. On Nov. 10, 1982, she married Richard Kant in Hawaii. They were married until his death in December, 1999. Mrs. Kant worked for Converse County Bank and the Converse County Clerk's office. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Kant and her two children, Craig and Randi Schlichting. She is survived by her seven grandchildren, Brenda Williams, Chris Lore, Monique Rojas, Kimberly Nuffer, Patricia, and Evan and Craig Schlichting; and her nine great-grandchildren.
