Mrs. Katie Rodgers Is Laid to Rest
Funeral services were conducted at the Oak Grove Baptist Church Saturday, December 26th at 11:00 A.M. for Mrs. Katie Rodgers, age 47, of New Holland, who died at the Aiken County Hospital, Wednesday, December 23 at 10:40 P.M. Interment was in the Oak Grove Baptist Church cemetery.
Surviving are six daughters; Mrs. Walter and Herbert Story, of Saluda, Mrs. Haskell Key, Vaucluse, Mrs. Woodrow Wood, Mrs. Carl Wood, Miss Charlie Rodgers, all of New Holland. One son, James Rodgers, also resident of New Holland. Three sisters, Mrs. Hammie Gentry and Mrs. May Turner, live in Saluda, while another sister, Mrs. Estelle Hallman is a resident of Ridge Springs. Three brothers are Perry Rodgers and Jadie Rodgers of Saluda and Z. E. Rodgers, U.S. Army.
