Mrs. Frank Rolfes
Mrs. Frank (Seraphine) Rolfes, 83, Le Mars native and lifelong resident, died Thursday (Nov. 10, 1983) at Marian Health Center, Sioux City, after a
lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. James Catholic Church. Rev. George McFadden will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery
under direction of the Luedtke-Feuerstein Funeral Home.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and the parish rosary will be recit-ed at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Six grandsons will act as casket bearers.
Seraphine Guntren was born Jan. 26,1900, in Le Mars to Louis and Magdalena Starz Guntren. She married Frank C. Rolfes Feb. 26,1930, at Merrill.
They farmed in Stanton Township. He died in 1975 and Mrs. Rolfes moved to Le Mars in 1978.
Surviving are two sons, Francis of Merrill and Jim of Le Mars; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Hurley of Mason City, Mrs. Paul (Norma) McCarthy of Sioux City and Sister Gertrude, O.S.B., Water-town, S.D.; 21 grandchildren ; six greatgrand-children and a brother, Walter Guntren, Storm Lake.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Doris Mae as a child and two brothers, Leo and John Guntren.
