Mrs. Barthel Ruba, 68, Remsen died Saturday (June 23,1973) at her residence.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Catholic church, Remsen. Rev. Nicholas Ruba, a nephew of Mrs. Ruba, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery under direction of
Fisch funeral home.
The rosary was recited Monday at the funeral home at 3 p.m. by the Christian Mother's society, the Catholic Daughters of America and the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters and will be recited at 8 p.m. by St. Mary Catholic church parishioners.
Mrs. Ruba, the former Agnes Rolfes, was born Aug. 3, 1904, at Le Mars. She was married Jan. 20, 1925, at Remsen. Mr. Ruba died in December 1952.
Mrs. Ruba was a member of St. Mary Catholic church, the Christian Mother's society, the Catholic Daughters ofAmerica and the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Vernon (Agnes) De Raad of Le Mars; son, Barthel of Remsen; brother, Frank of Le Mars; two sisters. Sister Mary Anicita, OSF, of Stacyville and Mrs. Bernadine Schroeder of Kingsley; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
