Bertha (Erbert) Bieker, 88, Ellis, died Sunday, March 4, 2012, at Good Samaritan Society, Hays.
She was born Sept. 9, 1923, in Hays to Englebert and Regina (Geschwentner) Erbert.
She married Albert Bieker on Nov. 16, 1943, in Ellis. She was a homemaker and worked at St. Mary's School as a cook's helper and Rich's IGA, both of Ellis.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Ellis.
She enjoyed quilting and spending time on the farm.
Survivors include her husband, of Good Samaritan Society, Hays; three sons, Richard, James and Michael Bieker, all of Ellis; a brother, Joe Erbert, Ellis; two sisters, Mary Kuhn, Hays, and Shirley Pitner, Atwood; four grandchildren, Brandie Bieker, Hays, Christopher Bieker, Lawrence, Kimberly Bieker, Topeka, and David Bieker, Bazine; and two great-grandchildren, Abby and Laura Bieker, Lawrence.
She was preceded in death by two sons, David and Robert Bieker, and a sister.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Ellis; burial in St. Mary Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Keithley Funeral Chapel, 400 E. 17th, Ellis, KS 67637.
