Albertina Juliana "Tina" Holteen, age 97, formerly of Parkers Prairie, died Monday, July 25, 2011, at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin.

Funeral services will be held 11 am, Saturday, July 30, 2011, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Parkers Prairie with Rev. Jon Sorum officiating. Music willl be provided by Kim Byrne. Burial will take place at Swedish Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church.

Albertina Juliana "Tina" Holteen was born February 3, 1914, to Wilhelm and Henrietta (Herzog) Riedel at home in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota. She was baptized February 22, 1914, confirmed in 1928, at St. John's Lutheran Church and graduated from Parkers Prairie High School in 1933. She was united in marriage to Carl Albin Holteen August 30, 1933, at Wolverton Lutheran Church in Wolverton, Minnesota. Following their marriage, they lived in Parkers Prairie before moving to Ottumwa, Iowa, where she was a homemaker and also worked at four manufacturing plants between the years of 1950-1957. Following her husband's retirement, they returned to Parkers Prairie. Her husband, Carl died in 1986. Tina continued living in Parkers Prairie until 2004, when due to poor health, she moved to the Good Samaritan Home in St. Croix Falls. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed gardening, both having summer vegetable and flower gardens. She also enjoyed knitting, traveling, fishing, playing cards and reading. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed sharing coffee and lunch with family and friends.

She is survived by a daughter, Joyce (Allan "Bud") Henrichsen of Osceola, Wisconsin; five grandchildren, Julie (Philip) Schneider, Laura Henrichsen, James (Robin) Henrichsen, John (Stacy) Henrichsen and Amy (Brian) Fuller; five great-grandchildren, Jennifer Brittan, Andrew (Denise) Schneider, Aaron Schneider, Danielle Henrichsen and Ryan Henrichsen; two great-great-grandchildren, Tanner and Brayden Brittan; along with nephews, nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl; twin sister, LaKardiga "Sis" Blodgett; sisters, Margaret Peterson and Adell "Della" Nelson; brothers, Edwin Riedel, Carl "Charlie" Riedel, Alvin "Finn" Riedel, Herbert Riedel and Randall Riedel; nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be James Henrichsen, John Henrichsen, Curtiss "Skip" Riedel, Mike Lage, Philip Schneider and Aaron Schneider.
