Daughter of George Henry Herdt and Anna Elizabeth Eichman, was born in Friedenburg, Russia, July 25, 1885. She came with her parents to Russell, KS in 1900. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. She retained this faith throughout her lifetime. Mrs. Schneider was a charter member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Stickney and then later became a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church of Russell since 1940. On July 21, 1901, Anna was united in marriage to Frederick Schneider, Jr. This marriage was belssed with 5 children, 3 boys and 2 girls. Mrs. Schneider lived with her family in the Stickney Community until the Spring of 1938 when the family moved to Russell. In June 1967, both Mr. and Mrs. Schneider too up residence at the Homestead Villa, Hoisington. Mrs. Schneider passed away Sat. Nov. 9, 1968 at Hoisington Lutheran Hospital at the age of 83 years, ten days after the death of her husband, Fred.

She is survived by 3 sons, Alvin, Hoisington; Ferdinand, San Francisco, CA; Victor, Russell; and one stepson, Harold, Hoisington; two daughters, Mrs. Natalie Strecker, Russell; and Mrs. Viola Schwein, Hoisington; one brother, Jake Herdt, Oakley; and two sisters, Mrs. Susie Ehrlich, Oakley; and Mrs. Christine Oblander, Durham; also 9 grandchildren and20 gt. grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister and one gt. grandchild, Raymond Pinelli, Died April 23, 1968.
