Carolyn Paulsen Look, 61, Topeka, died Tuesday, June 16, 1992, at her home after a long illness. She had cancer.

Mrs. Look was a teacher certification specialist for the State Department of Education more than 25 years.

She was born Feb. 5, 1931, in Elizabeth, N.J., the daughter of Henry C. and Dorothy Mangelsdorf Paulsen. She was graduated in 1952 with a degree in journalism from Kansas State College of Agriculture in Manhattan. She had lived in Topeka the past 40 years.

Mrs. Look was a member of First United Methodist Church in Topeka more than 40 years, where she taught in both elementary and adult Sunday shool, sang in the choir and was a member of Wesley Weds Sunday School Class. She was a member of Alpha Chi Omega sorotiy at K-State and was president of the alumni chapter in Topeka in 1962. She also was a former president of Chapter DN of PEO Sisterhood in Topeka.

She married Donald Hart Look on July 12, 1952, at the Second Presbyterian Church, Elizabeth, New Jersey. He survives her.

Other survivors include two daughters; two sons; her mother, Dorothy M. Paulsen; a brother and a grandson.

Cremation is planned. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Family and friends will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church 600 S.W. Topeka Blvd., 66603.
