Mr. and Mrs. Peter Nothnagel celebrated their Golden wedding anniversary Sunday, December 3, at their home, five miles northwest of Clarence, where they have resided since coming to Missouri in 1882. Mr. and Mrs. Nothnagel were born in Griesheim, near Darmstadt.

Peter Nothnagel Dies
Peter Nothnagel died Sunday afternoon at 1 o'clock in the home of a son, Valentine. Mr. Nothnagel was 86 years old. He was born January 30, 1847 [sic]. His wife died two years ago. The son, Valentine, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren survive. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock in Holiness church west of Shelbyville, conducted by the Rev. R. D. Wood of Kirksville. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery.
