Sergeant
Royal Marines
British Naval Service

He was deployed with the UK contingent of NATO forces in Afghanistan.

Sgt Taylor and LCpl Michael Foley were serving as part of Task Force Helmand when they were shot and killed at the main entrance to Lashkar Gah Main Operating Base in Helmand province by an Afghan National Army soldier.

Aged 33, Sgt Taylor was from Bournemouth. He joined the Royal Marines in 1997 and had extensive operational experience.
